Phenom II temperatures

Hi, I have a Phenom II X4 940 BE.

I have a question about the temperaturs... I use CPUID Hardware Monitor to monitor the temperatures. However, there are two different temperatures: CPU and Core#0,1,2,3.

I heard the maximum recommended temp for Phenom II is 62°C... which one is that, the CPU-temp or the Core #0,1,2,3? The CPU-temp usually is a lot lower (10-15°C), so I'm hoping that one, lol.

Please help me out 'cause it's kind of confusing!

  1. My guess is that you need to wait for an update so that program gives you proper temps. Try out others such as coretemp, etc.
  2. use coretemp or realtemp, it will save you much hassle
  3. I quite like HWMonitor too ... seems to do the trick on all my machines.
