Hello All,

I have an Asus P5Q-EM Mobo with an Intel E7300 CPU, running 4GB of Corsair RAM, and a Western Digital 320GB SATA HDD.

I am looking for a decent video card that outputs in HDMI for under $200. I just built this system a few days ago and am having problems with the X4500HD not living up to its name. It was supposed to be good integrated graphics (I know how funny that sounds). I am looking for a graphics card that will let me do some mid level gaming and 3-D work. I do not need to run Crysis on high settings or anything like that, I just need to be able to go around and do some regular games.

Been looking at the SAPPHIRE 100225L and the EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR one is ATi the other in Nvidia. Any other suggestions would be great, thanks alot

You should check this post on gamer oriented GPUs as the prices have been slashed for Xmas: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/258033-33-best-gamer-gpus-xmas-sales-slash-prices

If you will be gaming a lot I would recommend paying between $100 and $150 dollars if you have a small screen. This would put you choices between the ATIs: 4830 ~ $100, 4850s ~ $140
or NVidea: 9800 GT ~ $100, 9800 GTX+ ~ $150
Generally I would say ATI is the best value although your mobo won't do a crossfire PCI 2x upgrade.

If you are less serious about gaming I would look at the ATI 4670 or the NVidea 9600 GSO - but be mindful of how much cheaper they are compared to the much better gaming cards like the 4830 or the 9800 GT
