I'm looking for a dual band wireless router that has good range and good speed when attached to my Hughes Net satelite modem and 3 PCs in my large old farmhouse (2400 sq ft). The router will be attached to a newer PC on the second floor, and must wireless connect 2 or 3 other computers. The furthest distance is ~ 200 feet (an addition on an addition).

Which is a better choice and why, the Netgear WNDR3700 or the Linksys WRT610N?

On the 5Ghz range, 200 feet is probably too far away to be detected. I am about 40 feet away through 2 walls(wood and drywall) And I usually get between 2 and 3 bars on 5Ghz and 4 or 5 bars on 2.4Ghz. I have the Linksys 610N, those internal antennas might be to blame.
