I am looking at getting the 120 Extreme. I know if it fits it would be a tight fit, but I am sure if it does fit. Has anyone else tried getting it in there (with the i7 backplate included)?
The Thermaltake V9 cases are 8.19 inches wide. The 160mm tall, tower style, cpu heatsinks require a case that is at least 8 inches wide. Luckily the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme is a bit shorter at 152mm so it will fit. As you said it will be tight but it will fit. There is sufficient space between the motherboard and the motherboard tray for the backplate.
It will fit, however it may be a tight fit. I was looking at several pictures, and dimensions. Looks to be able to fit. The only issue could be the side panel fan.
