Overclock Centrino T2300

Last response: in Overclocking

Hi,

i am hoping to overclock a HP dv8333ea laptop. It has the T2300 1.66Ghz dual core processor (with a x10 multi and 166Mhz front side bus).

Cannot find a single shred of advice anywhere for this processor. Initally i thought id be conservative and raise the FSB to 200Mhz...giving me 2.0Ghz per core...so 4Ghz total. Not a massive leap from stock but we are dealing with a laptop and the cooler will have to remain stock

Any thoughts on voltages, BIOS setting for this?

Any help much appreciated

Very difficult, and not a good idea, to try to overclock a laptop.

It doesn't work that way. Total performance is not equal to the sum of the core speeds.
