Not sure if this is in the right section but I have just built a new system and it will not post. just shows 88 on the debug screen which I believe isnt even a fault code just a check before it gets that far.
I makes no difference how many sticks of ram I put in it or even if I dont put ram in it at all, I dont even get the usual error beeping from the mobo speaker.
I have tried booting on both primary and secondary bioses and clearing the CMOS doesnt make any difference.
Anyone have any idea what this could be? the vendor tells me that it was checked and posted fine before it was sent to me as its a replacement for a previous faulty board.
My specs are
XFX x58i
i7 920 cpu
super talent ddr3 1333 tri channel kit
2x ASUS 1gb 4870 (only running 1 for testing purposes)
thermaltake tough power 600w psu (1000w corsair on on the way
Thermaltake v9 case
samsung spinpoint f1 1tb hdd
