Hello,
I am trying to OC, am running the same FSB as before on another motherboard, worked on the old one. But when I look at the POST or in system properties my CPU speed is still at stock.
I am trying to overclock a q9550 from 2.83GHz to ~3.2GHz
Anyone else have this wierd problem?

Have you tried the software overclock from gigabyte? I tried to manually overclock...could not get it to work. Tried that tool and tested, it actually changes bios settings very impressed. Took an E7400 2.8 i believe to 3.5 no problem.

Yes I have tried the Easytune, it worked once then it reverted to the stock speeds again. :( I have looked at those guides, and other ones online. I cannot see the differance between my setting and the once in the guide (besides the FSB)...

Hmmmm. what type of ram are you using? aftermarket cooling? Also, I dont know if easy tune keeps settings after reboot. Bios Updates? Try to update the bios and get some tools for such as CPUZ, HIRENS Boot Disk.

4GB PC2 8500 OCZ2P10664GK running at 5-5-5-18 @2.1V
I ran my ran my RAM 1.900V ... though I am doing this on my old RAM (went back to the old-er RAM [800MHz version 5-4-4-12]). When I ran Memtest86+ v4.00 on the new RAM it came up as ~17000 errors after the 6th pass.
I am not using any aftermarket cooling. I have updated to the newest bios. Already use CPUZ to find specs.
