Hello,
I recently had to buy a new hard drive and I don't know if it was that that made my usb ports stop working. Please Help!

Do you have a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark next to it in the device manager? Have you tried a windows update? Try dowloading the driver from your motherboard manufactuer.

We need more info

Is it an internal Hd or external.

If you internal or external Hd broke maybe the port is defective (internat : IDE/Sata external USB port)

If you plug in front USB port try the back one,
