XFX radeon HD 4830 requirements recommend a 450 watt power supply and a 75 watt 6-pin connector.
I'm not sure if my power supply can handle this card. My PSU is http://www.factorydirect.ca/catalo [...] ode=PO0585

It should be enough.

In theory it should be enough. There's quite a bit of technical information missing on that product page. I couldn't help but notice the psu only comes with a one year warranty. A high quality, stable, reliable power supply should come with a five year warranty.

What are the rest of your specs? How many amps does the PSU list under 12V?

A few things to remember:

1. That PSU is a no name brand.

2. W = A*V

3. We do not know the breakdown of the amps on the +12 rail or if the wattage rating is the MAX output.

My recommendations:

OCZ OCZ StealthXStream 600W

This PSU is much better quality and has the needed amps on the +12 rail.

Get a quality PSU from Corsair, PC Power & Cooling, Antec, OCZ.

^ Ok, the PSU seems to have the Amps, but it's still a no name brand.

And it looks ugly

Not sure. It's been years since I risked a system on a no-name PSU like that. Trouble is, just about every competent technical review (e.g. jonnyguru, hardocp, hardwaresecrets) I've read on them features escaping magic blue smoke, some on as low as a 60% load.

That's one of 'em, yeah, but there are lots of others. Anyone still have a link to that video of those four Raidmax "500W" PSUs all blowing chunks at 375W?

Hmmm, that might have been it. I thought there were four of them, but oh well. I think the point was made.
