Hello people,

This is my situation:

I am adding a second HDD to my computer for storage purposes. I have narrowed it down to these two drives:

THIS The Samsung

and

THIS The WD Black

Which one would you get? From my research, the WD seems to have a higher success rate for not failing. I personally have always used WD without a problem, so I am a bit biased.

It has come down to which one has the better customer support.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you for your time.

I prefer WD, I had also Samsung's HD and I had any problem... but also the test tool (in case you have trouble) it's more complete / easy using the Western Digital one.

Just my opinion :)

I have several WD Blacks and one of that Samsung. All have been excellent and fast. So either flip a coin, go with the cheaper one, or go with the one you are more comfortable with (WD). Can't really go wrong.
