Yes, you can save some buck on getting only 4g of ram. its WAY enough. the build seem to be ok. very nice budget Build.

Yes. It depends on game, resolution and what you call "smoothly". For example Crysis at 1680x1050 with all the eye candy on max might not be as smooth as you'd like, but CoD4 will be fine. You can just play Crysis at 1280x1024 if you want better fps, of course.

Is it too late to change the motherboard and PSU? With something like P5Q Pro/Silencer 750W (about $100 each at newegg) you'd be able to do Crossfire if needed.

True, 4 GB is almost as good as 8 GB in games. Read this:

Oops, the T240HD is a 24" monitor, 1920 x 1200.

You should upgrade to HD 4870 X2 and Silencer 750W. The HD 4870 1GB is a great card but 1920x1200 is a big challenge.

Edit: and upgrade the MB to a P45 too so you get PCI-E 2.0.

AEVM is right, but if its a budget, I think its nice.

But +2 cause a p5q is really better, and a GOOD psu is never a BAD idea.
