Asus P6X58D Premium heat sink

Do I even need a heat sink if I'm not going to overclock my P6X58D? Also, is it more difficult to overclock after I build the machine if I change my mind later?

  1. No you don't. It will be less difficult if you go ahead and get a nice heat sink for your initial build, you won't have to disassemble your old heatsink, clean off the thermal paste, and then install your new heatsink. I'd recommend the Corsair H50 (it also has the thermal paste already applied to the copper base!). I just picked one up for my P6X58D build! Goodluck!
