About DDR3 1333

I've recently purchased this RAM ddr3, I'm just changing the timings as it says on the page that it can run at 9-9-9-24 and it is currently running at 10-9-9-23. When I change it to 9-9-9-24, the computer BSODs on me. I'm OCing my Q6600 to 3Ghz with a bus speed of 334. I'm vaguely aware that the RAM and the CPU should match but I'm really not 100% sure what I'm talking about My motherboard is the P35c-DS3r. If anyone could just let me know whether it's worth the bother to change the automatically set timings to something else and what that something else should be I'd be very grateful.

Is the voltage set to the manufacturer's spec?
