XP memory upgrade will not boot after install 2gb max ram

Tried to upgrade ram from 512 to 2gb max allowed for xp home edition-after install several times same thing occurs--system will not boot ? Please Help Thank You mjy899 ALSO when turned on system makes 7 buzzing sounds in a row ?

Dell Dimension 8200 (533MHz FSB) Memory



YOU NEED TO USE MEMORY FROM THE 533 MHZ FSB BECAUSE OF YOUR CPU!

PC800 ECC/Non-ECC RDRAM RIMMs. (2.1gz and above 8200 machines choose 8200 533FSB memory). Make sure to have latest bios updates installed.
