Heya,

The question is pretty simple. I am looking for reccommendations for a case upgrade for my system. I have an Antec 900. These are the componetns that I have in my case:

-i7 920 @ 3.6GHz
-6GB Corsair 1600MHz Memory
-Asus P6T X58
-GTX 260 (ver. 216)
-Cooler Master V8
-OCZ GameXStream 800W PSU

I am leaning towards the Cooler Master HAF (due to the article that Tom did). Any advice will be appreciated though. I am looking for a case $350 or less that is a full size case.

Thanks in advanced

I bought the CoolerMaster HAF 932 last August when they first went on sale. It is a huge full tower case. It's also wider than a typical tower case. Ventilation, airflow, and cooling are excellent. Cable management is outstanding. A psu can be mounted at the top rear or bottom rear and fan up or fan down. Lots of options for case fans. It can accomodate any cpu heatsink made and the long video cards. Water cooling is also an option. Definitely a lot of flexibility built into the case.

I'm going to have to say that the Lian-Li cases will cool great and are far superior in build quality to ANY case maker with the possible exception of Silverstone, Cooler Master does not stand a chance in that area. That said the Cooler Master case is the best case in its segment ( Antec 1200 vs CM Haf 932 vs Thermaltake Spedo).

In the end it is your decision because you have to live with the damn thing.

^When i got my Lian Li A70's (yeh i bought 2 of em) i was first shocked at the weight extremely light for how big they are (fully aluminum der) and them amazed by the quality.

I believe it matches or betters the HAF 932 in everyway that JohnnyLucky stated, Its huge full tower, airflow is insane 6x120mm fans stock, cable management was good (upgraded in the A7010 same case but revised) PSU top or bottom mounted, fit my Thermalright 120ultra (biggest HSF around) can accomodate long GPU card with a PCI slot support brace, and water cooling holes ;)

chookman - I looked at the Lan-Li cases. I like the LIAN LI PC-A7010B. Price is on the high side at $379.99. I even cringed at $159.00 for the HAF 932.

I was just going off budget OP stated ;)

Well I bought my Silverstone for $350 too so I guess the price is not too out there. Hey chookman how are the Lian-Li stock fans? I know the Silverstone 120mm stock fans are absolute crap, but oddly enough the 92mm ones push a lot of air.

They are quiet but i wouldnt mind them pushing some more air, have been flirting with the idea of replacing them with Scythe (slipstream or Kaze) but here in AUS they are ~$20 each... for 6 fans that alot to out lay.

Wow those are pretty nice compared to the 37 CFM 120mm fans that come with my god damn case!

I use 6 88 CFM Scythe fans in my case and 2 110 for my heatsink for aircooling. I change out 4 of those and add another 6 110 CFM for my (240+480 internal Rad.) watercooling system so I like CFM. I find my aircooling setup to be tolerably loud, but the watercooling setup is definitely not. I tried an ULTRA KAZE setup for my heatsink once and found them to be way too loud.

less than 4 88 CFM slipstream fans are very quiet, above that is slightly pushing it but still quieter than a stock Antec 900 on med/high. Add in some 110 CFM and your pushing about the same DBA as an Antec 900 stock on high, but the Ultra Kaze ruin it all.

I had the Scythe Ninja Rev. Plus B heatsink on my old system (Q6600..etc) I was happy with it so I changed my fans to Scythe from stock (same Antec 900) I noticed a considerable difference in noise output. My computer was fairly stealth before with the stock fans. It was quiter than a ninja after I swapped my fans.

I just want to make my machine a big windtunnel haha, dont care about the noise... the cost for the 6 Kaze's at ~$120 is bit rich though.

I ended up picking up the Cooler Master HAF 932. Going to that from my Antec 900 is...wow I mean wow. Even with all of my hardware in there I could still smuggle a family of mexicans across the border with it.
