I'm building myself a new computer by the end of the month. I live in Canada and I'm buying my parts from a local computer store (Canada computers). Here is what I came up with (prices are in CAD):

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Socket LGA775, 3 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB, 6MB L2 Cache, 45nm (Retail Box) $194.99

Are there any suggestions? Will these parts be compatible?

Good solid build. The Sonata and the PSU it comes with are great, but biased more towards quiet rather than cooling...... just something to keep in mind. All compatible, all good choices

It will work. You can drop the Freezer and save some money. Use the savings to upgrade to a 640GB disk, those are faster.

sounds good but I think I'll keep the Freezer, I really don't need a bigger HDD

Are you planning to overclock?

I might overclock it just slightly, definitaly not more than 0.5Ghz

All right then, the Freezer can handle that all right.

Still, it's unnecessary. Also, of all 434 reviews of the Sonata at Newegg I couldn't find even one with a Freezer. That's how I usually find out if a big cooler fits in a small case.

The Sonata 3 is on sale for $63.62 today. I suggest you order it while it lasts.

I might switch it to a Cooler Master Elite 330 Mid Tower Case + 500W Power Supply its $80 at the local store. Even though the Sonata is on sale shipping is $33 for me.
