I'm proud to be 14 and have built my first system completely by myself and have payed for most of it also. What about everyone else?

P.S. I did go through the process of making one at age 10 but basically didn't do anything except enjoy playing on it : - )

I can't remember building a computer before being 17-18ish. It was a couple of machines for the computer club at my cegep. Bought and built 2 machines of same configuration for the people to use (game on). 5 years later, they're still in the same room apparently. They still play counter-strike on them haha :)

I was 14 years old at the time, about 4 years ago. I was proud that i payed and built the system all by myself. It was a Pentium 4 550, 2gb DDR and a 6800GT
or my whole life saving at the time. I worked under for the table to buy it.

17, almost 18. It was my good ol K6-2 400 (overclocked to 500) which ended up with 96MB or RAM, 27.3GB WD expert, Sony 10x8x32 CD Burner, Creative PC-DVD Encore 12X Dxr3, 32MB TNT2 AGP, Aureal Vortex 2 SQ2500 Sound Card, Creative Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 speakers, on a baby AT Epox MVP3 C2 motherboard that I put in a little ol 386 case with a 250W PSU (can't believe I didn't fry it ^_^) I got at the local Goodwill to start off with :D. Well, that's the configuration it had before I upgraded to my Duron 900 a few years latter.
