I have two programmes on my hard drive, each on different partitions. I want to reduce the time that is taken when it waits for me to decide which program I want to use. At the present its 20 seconds.
OK, go into the Control Panel and select System.
Select the Advanced Tab and click on Startup and Recovery Settings.
Change the Time to display list of operating systems.
Hit OK, then Apply, and you are done!
You mean you have two different operating systems installed? In that case we need to know what they are so we know what boot loader needs to be modified.

Hi PhilFrisbie,
Many thanks for helping an old Doctor. It works great. Now, what if I want to remove the second program altogether from disk D so i can use the space for other programmes.
