I was wondering if anyone can help me

i currently have a bfg 8800gt oc card i bought the oem version so it came with basically nothing, i was just wondering if i bought a hdtv can and a DVI-HDMI dongle would i get sound and image or only image from my card. I previously intended to get a big monitor but instead decided to get a tv most likely a 26 or 32" samsung.

because the tv will be far away from the pc i wanted the sound to come out of the tv and also if its possible to go wireless between the two but that's another matter.
