Is a $500 gaming pc possible to build?

My brother is wanting a new pc so that he will be able to play the games he does now, along with games like Call of Duty World at War.....

Any suggestions?

  1. Any parts that will be recycled? Will you need a OS? Monitor?
  2. I think it's possible. But definitely helps if you have parts you can reuse.

That is a Good Case as well.
I used it for my last build and got it for about that price.
(Did not neet it when I bought it, but could not pass the deal.)

BTW, you can get the SONATA III for $45 shipeed with a code I just found (No Rebate)
I just picked one up even though I dont need it.

But both those cases would be nice, especially in the $500 budget range.

They are similar, but I would go for the E7300 if the price is very close.
I think the E7300 may be a newer stepping, but not very sure of that.
  12. Go with the Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz. It is currently a part the Black Friday pre-sale for $75.99
  13. Nice thread... It is a real shame tomshardware doesn't have any articles for at 500$ gaming build...
