I was just wondering which of the two would be a better buy ?

Well they come down to personel choice of course...
And the just to note the Q9550 is based on the LGA775, which some say will become phased out when the LGA1366 goes mainstream...expected this year wit the launch of i5...
But the
PhenomII is a new processor...and sure there will be more new processors for the same pin config...
So jus a thought it will be easy to upgrade...

But to see performance wise, the Q9550 does lead the benchies..
