Intel DG45ID - Blu-Ray playback

I am planning to build a HD HTPC around the new Intel DG45ID motherboard. It looks like this MOBO was built specifically for HTPCs. I was wondering if this has enough juice to support full blu-ray playback. Is the board alone sufficient or do we need to get a separate video card for this ?

Also, is there any place where I can find information/recommendations on motherboards that are build specifically for use in HTPCs ?

  1. If you get a good multithreaded decoder (CoreAVC), then most modern CPUs will be easily capable decoding 1080p content.
