Heatsink Wont Fit !

Bought a new arctic cooler 7 pro
tried to install it but it uses push pins instead of screws

WHAT CAN I DO ??!

I have the same cooler on a (775) GB 965P board - the AC 7 Pro installed fine ... although I dislike those pins also. It will work, unless you've damaged the pins - and I'm assuming that you have a compatible board.

No mate, the AC 97 pro has plastic push pins.. And my MOBO only accepts Screws !

or you could remove the backplate behind the mobo...

If that's the case, then it seems then that you're either married to your cooler or married to your board - pick the one that you want to keep and find a suitable replacement for the other. Or mod the cooler, as was suggested, to see if you can stick a square peg into a round hole.

I'm guessing the board is more important?
