Out of the motherboards on this list which would be the most stable & the best over clocker?
I'm going to couple it with a PII 920

Newegg

I was thinking of these three. Obviously the cheaper the better =P

GIGABYTE

BIOSTAR

FOXCONN

I already Have 4 gigs of DDR2 800 & an ASUS 4870 So I'm ready to finish my rig =]

I highly recommend you spend the extra $20 on the 940BE if you plan on overclocking. Its a shame they were $199 last week with promo code. Maybe wait for another promo code.
Also I always recommend Gigabyte, Biostar is ok, Foxconn I wouldnt buy period.

I would love to get a X4 honestly =] but It's not in my budget.. I also made a mistake
I meant 720BE not 920 heh.. my bad :pt1cable:

I've never heard anything.. bad, about Gigabyte So im hopeing for a MIR before this promotion runs out so I can afford to purchase it. That being said I can get the PII 720BE with the Biostar for
$185 Shipped! which to me.. Sounds like a good deal.. lol

anybody else have an opinion about these motherboards?

If you asked me, I'd blindly look at the brands and say Gigabyte.

Thanks, does anyone have any personal experience with the Gigabyte or the Biostar?

I've had the following assembled for 3 days -

AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz
BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX 128M
G.SKILL HK 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS
Pioneer Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW
HIS Hightech H485FN512P Radeon HD 4850 512MB
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W
LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black

This was my first build ever and it went pretty well. I've had a few minor questions and e-mailed Biostar and have always gotten an answer within one day, sometimes even the same day within just a few hours. The overclocking looks pretty simple so I may give the system a modest boost.
