I o device error flash drive

Hello,
I tried to transfer a file from a desktop computer onto a flash drive so that I could load it onto a laptop. It keeps coming up with the error message I/O device error. All the other files transferred ok, it's only one fine that I'm having trouble with. Can anyone help me please.

But as to your question, what kind of/how many files were you trying to transfer, and what wouldn't transfer?
