Network issues

Yesterday I was setting up my new wirless access point, and i noticed when I have something in my lan then my wireless stops working (adapter in usb)

I have to manualy disable the local area connection to get my internet to be working again, can someone help me so that my pc knows to always use the usb adapter to get internet and my local area connection is just to connect to other devices?
