Booting from the wrong drive?

I bought a external case for my extra internal hard drive that plugs in by usb. When i turn on my computer i think it starts booting from the external hard drive. When I unplug the external hard drive and turn on the computer it boots fine from the internal hard drive. Is there a way to set it so i dont need to unplug the usb everytime I turn it on?

My best guess is you need to change the boot order in your BIOS. Make sure that removable disk option is either removed or moved after your hard drive/CD/DVD drive.
