Get the 1GB whatever monitor you stick it on as it will run quicker whatever resolution..

Most cards wouldn't actually make use of 1GB except at very high resolution (i.e., higher than 1440x900).
A GDDR4 card is probably got a higher memory clock than the regular GDDR3, so I'd imagine that it should give you better performance at a mainstream resolutions than the extra memory.

BTW, why would you use a different monitor based on the card? Most cards will come with adapters, and a lot of monitors come with multiple options for input.

Sorry for the triple post, but I can't seem to edit my posts!

I can't find the specs for the visiontek 1GB, but in general the clocks for memory on the various 4670s with DDR3 are 1750-2000MHz while the DDR4s are 2000-2200MHz.
I'd say the extra speed would be more beneficial than the extra ram (at that resolution).

For 17 or 19 inch monitor 512mb RAM on the graphics card is more than enough. I'd get the 512mb one or which ever one comes with the needed adapter (if required) or the 19 inch.

+1 for the 512MB, I don't think there is much use for more unless the card is a 4870 AND you plan on using SLI (or simply are a GTA 4 whore who wants to max the view distance no matter the impact on performance :p).
