They aren't recognizing my amd phenom 2 x4 940 processors, but cpu-z does...I think.

My MOBO: foxconn amd 780g+sb700 (dunno if that's all the specs one would need to know, i'm not very tech savvy.) A7GM-S 2.0

Both the bios and device manager say AMD Processor Unknown Model...

Any ideas on how to fix it?

have you checked for a later bios, that phenom is relatively new.

Pretty common problem with the new Phenoms. If your board is more than a couple of months old, it will not have a recent enough BIOS to detect the processor correctly. But you are very lucky, many boards will not even boot with the new Phenoms until the BIOS has been updated. Your Phenom is likely not running at it's potential, and the voltage is very likely not correct, it may be set to high, so you should update your BIOS ASAP.

I have two BIO files from the MOBO's site.

One, titled "New Bios".

The other, description: Update AMD AGESA V3 source code for supporting AM3 CPU.

The one titled New Bios I believe is the one I have, but I'm not sure. (At work can't check)

If "New Bios" is the version I have right now, what should I do?
