please rate my build so far. I do have a psu, but already ordered a really good one cause it was cheap. Also, I am missing a mobo and ram, so can someone help me find one? I only need 2 gb of ram, and only one video card pciex16 slot. I might need some extra slots though to put in a wireless internet card in the future (only a maybe).

Also, please rate my mouse and screen as well. The mouse is a bit pricey,so can someone point me to a good gaming mouse, but doesnt have to have so many buttons, and is cheap

I only need 2 gb, and vista doesnt read memory correctly after 2-3 gb
also, aren't you suppose to know your mobo before you pick out your ram?

thanks, but can you get one that is cheaper, cause I already am at about my limit, though I could go higher. That would be just mean to my parents

I just want a relatively cheap but not cruddy mobo n ram

This thread is impossible to read, with links but no actual part names.

So, from the original post:

Antec 900 - OK

HIS HD 4850 with dual-slot cooler - OK, but expensive at $195

E7200 - acceptable

WD6400AAKS - OK

SH-S223Q - OK

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit - wrong. Get the 64-bit version. Same price.

Logitech S-220 speakers - no idea. My Logitech speakers are fabulous, but I paid 15 times more than you.

Acer X223Wbd - OK

Logitech MX518 2-Tone 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB + PS/2 Wired Optical 1800 dpi Gaming-Grade Mouse - again no idea. I got something quite similar (also Logitech wired optical). It should be fine. Try it locally if possible to see if it fits well in your hand. Mine is a bit small for me but I got used to it.

I'd spend a bit more on the CPU. $45 more buys you an E8400.

Get this combo:

That is, you drop the $195 HD 4850, spend $225 (after rebates), and you get a faster HD 4870, and it's Sapphire instead of HIS (a plus, IMO), and 4 GB of Corsair RAM.

Nah, I wouldn't. $95 and you end up with a SLI chipset you don't need. The P5Q Pro at $100 is a better idea. It is based on a better chipset (P45), it lets you add a second HD 4870 later if you feel like it (The Silencer 610W and Antec 900 are fine for that too, btw), and it has more SATA ports (8 instead of 4). Besides, the eVGA MB has 46% users happy (5 eggs) and 18% hate it (1 egg). That's horrible. The P5Q pro has 66% happy and 8% hate it.

The UD3P is better IMO. It's usually $17 bucks more than the P5Q Pro at newegg. They are very similar anyway. Yes they work fine with a HD 4870. With two of them you'd get about 10% or 15% less fps than you'd get with an X48 MB, but the X48 motherboards are over $200. Are you very likely to do Crossfire?

It's fine. DDR2-800 works on the GA-EP45-UD3P or the P5Q Pro without problems. Most people use them with DDR2-800 in fact because it is cheaper than the faster RAM types and gives almost the same performance. The MB advertises MAXIMUM memory speeds accepted, but it will accept slower RAM too.
