Hey

Just curious if anyone has a GA-EP45-UD3P board or just a P45 board

It takes me 1.3v to make it stable at 400mhz which seems high since other boards usually can mater it at 1.2v

At 1.2v its prime stable but sometimes the ethernet controller wont function or Ill get really bad hang ups in game

At 1.3v all issues seem to go away

***Anyway Just curious what others are pushing their P45 chip set for 24/7 use***
***Also if you want to throw in any 5850 clocks I finally got mine set at 1 ghz core, 1150 mem, 1.25v***

(yeah its a sort of a houge pouge post so dont get mad its just for fun / basic research)

p5q pro
q9650
4gigs of gskill "4x1"

been setting up a summertime oc on this today and ive got it stable at 400x9 3.6ghz with the nb/p45 at 1.16. :)

i usally clock it higher during the winter months and the p45 can get really hot ive got a 40mm fan screwed on to the hs too cool it seems to work really good. ;)

i read somewhere that you shouldn't go over 1.4 for 24/7.

yeah mine is almost always at 42...sometimes 43 sometimes 39 depending

Yeah the p45 is a beast of a chip set and I really wish mine would run at lower voltage but hey temps arent an issue so w/e

I have a giant heatsink (all passive) on mine which does a good job of cooling it

p45 + q6600 (or any core 2 quad/duel) = :)

Try ASUS PC ProbeII or CPUID Hardware monitor

They might not list it as N/B so it might be like TMP1 or something wierd

More than likely it will be a constant temp (might move only a few degrees)

It will prob be in between upper 20s to lower 50s (depending on your setup)

My understanding is its safe up to 105 C but yeah it should never be above 50 or 60

I use CPUID Hardware manager and its called "TMPIN0" for me
