This could be bad news... Im guessing the AS5 has actually got into the individual pin holes ?
I can only think of two ways to remove the stray compound.
1) slightly risky but using a small pin it may be possible to remove it - however this is not 100% safe as AS5 is a conductor of electricity and if you miss even the slightest amount you could end up shorting out individual pins under the socket itself.
2) safer method woud be to use TIM cleaner to flush the socket out completely - you would need to leave the mobo to throughtly dry out for several days to ensure there is no fluid remaining in the pin holes or behind the socket itself.
