M miocene Distinguished Feb 17, 2009 33 0 18,540 Mar 18, 2009 #3 I have a 1100, and yes it is possible and very easy to upgrade the HD. You will need to purchase an IDE/ATA 2.5" hard drive like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148128 Make sure it is not a SATA connection. It will also need a fresh install of windows so get ur cd ready and backup your data. I put Xubuntu on mine and it runs pretty well. edit: no BIOS update needed for HDD upgrade. update my be needed if upgrading RAM beyond 256mb
