Two Wifi Devices Same PC, Is ad hoc or ICS an option?

I'd like to know peoples thoughts on using either internet connection sharing or ad-hoc networking using two adapters on the same machine. One that receives the internet, and one that acts as beacon.

I've tried/messed around with it a bit but to no avail. Thanks

A roommate and I had Internet Connection Sharing setup for a while before we got a router. In my experience, it was more of a PITA than it was worth.
