I had a PX-800A IDE DVD-RW from an old computer that I installed in my I7-920 video editing computer. It has a ASUS P6T MOBO with a Plextor PX-880 SATA DVD-RW already installed. The IDE drive shows up in the boot sequence, but will not show up on the Device Manager tree. I went to Plextor.com to check on downloading firmware and it is not listed. What am I doing wrong? I am running Win 7 Pro.

Double check the jumper setting on the drive.

Make sure IDE isn't disabled in the BIOS.

I have the jumper set on Master. It is the only item on that IDE cable. IDE is not disabled in the BIOS.

I got it to work, after disabling the drive and reinstalling the software.
Thanks for the input.
