First WC run, how does this loop look?

So I just bought all the parts for my first go at water cooling.

Salvaged from current air build:
Asus P6T Deluxe V1 MOBO
I7 920 CPU (OC depends on temps)
Corsair 850TX 850W PSU
WD 7200RPM 500gb HD (will be secondary hd)

New CPU parts:
XFX HD Radeon 5970 Black Edition
Corsair 256gb SSD (Main HD with win 7)
Corsair Dominator 6gb DDR3 RAM
Corsair 800D Case

Cooling components:
Corsair H50 CPU Cooler (takes care of the cpu, no need to build my own loop for it)
GTX360 Gen Two Xtreme Radiator
MCP355 Pump
XSPC Acrylic Pump Top 200ml Res
EK Nickel/Acetal Full Cover 5970 Block
EK 5970 RAM Backplate
Primoflex 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD UV Blue Tubing
1/2" Compression fittings, two of them 45 degree angled for GPU
Aerocool Touch 1000 4 Channel fan controller
4 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fans for Rad and H50

How does this setup look. I'll be mounting the rad on the top of the 800d, so it's kind of a long way down to the 5970. Do you think this setup will work well? Is the flow going the right way?

Thanks

Waste of time and effort. The cpu cooler is junk. Go big or go home.

I'm not going for an insane OC. Probably just 3.6 or so. I didn't want to use a single loop for both because I may be adding a second card down the road, and I couldn't fit another rad without modifying the case.

The H50 is more than enough to cool it for my needs. I'm watercooling for a more silent pc and just small stable overclocks.

The truth is, a good air cooler will beat the H50.

Quote:
GTX360 Gen Two Xtreme Radiator
MCP355 Pump
XSPC Acrylic Pump Top 200ml Res
EK Nickel/Acetal Full Cover 5970 Block
EK 5970 RAM Backplate
Primoflex 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD UV Blue Tubing
1/2" Compression fittings, two of them 45 degree angled for GPU
Aerocool Touch 1000 4 Channel fan controller
4 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fans for Rad and H50

Looks good.

Note: The Gentle Typhoons may not have enough CFM for cooling the H50.

Warning: DO NOT run pre mixed fluid. Always run Distilled water + PTNuke (or Kill Coils).

And your set up is wrong.

It should go:

res>pump>block>rad>back to res.

You have it backwards.

Yea, but the H50 is quieter and cools it more than enough for my needs.

And I see how stupid that diagram is now, I'll reverse it. Thanks

Not really, but do consider what I said about the fan CFM. IIRC, the Scythe fans you plan to put max out at 55-60CFM where as the stock fans push ~70CFM.

The stock H50 Fan is 50CFM.

^ Good to know. In that case, I think you should be OK.

If it's an H50, it's less than okay, it will do pig it will do. Babe movie, loved it.

We, by results know the H50 is okay, it should suit your needs.

OKAY? We hope. Let us know.
