Hello I am trying to install my cpu (Intel dual core E2220) into a new motheroard (GA-EP35-DS4). The cup went in fine but I cannot close the holder thing, I was wondering if you could help me =[. I checked if I could swap the holders from the different motherboards but it dosent seem like you can. It dosent close because the holder hits the cpu before the arm can close.

 

Please help.

The arm shouldnt hit the cpu before it closes, are you trying to install the cpu with the heatsink/fan attached?
You should be able to bend the arm out as you close it, then lock it.
Or maybe you have the cpu in wrong. One corner of the cpu has a flat side with a pin missing, this should line up to the socket corner that also has a flat side and a pin missing. Read your manual.
