Hello,
IM GETTING AN ERROR CODE 39 .IT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING.SAYS IT IS CORRUPT OR MISSING DRIVER .ANY HELP OR IDEAS ??

Without knowing what brand DVD-RW you cannot fish for the right driver or firmware.
I am assuming it is an HP but you need the exact model number to even try new drivers.

Uninstall and Re-install the DVD-ROM drive from the device manager:
You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.
1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. In the list of usb devices locate the DVD –ROM drive and right click and then click on Uninstall.
3. Restart the computer and connect the drive again, it will re-install it back automatically.
