Hello all.

Lemme cut right to the chase:

My computer shuts off one night so i thought ok...overheating etc.

After about 15 minutes I try and reboot....fans, lights, etc. come on for about 10 seconds..then shuts off. Wait...then boom cuts back on by itself....then 5 seconds later shuts off again. I noticed that the power and the "Thrashing" light did not come on at all on the front of my case. I also noted that there was no video on my monitor during this time. PSU is alright, and so is the VGA, however I pondered between the mobo failing or the processor burning up ((since my heatsink had plastic pins and no backplate :pfff: )) RMA'd the MOBO so hopefully it was just a baddy.

So any additional advice would be GREATLY appreciated

P.S. - My OS is 64-bit Vista Home Premium

Its prolly the MB.
My P5K did the same thing and I RMA'd it.
They changed the square power pots (dont know what they are called) around the cpu and all is well again.

From what I can tell this is pretty common with the P5 series boards.
The good part is the RMA only took 7-10 days.
