GA-EP45-DS3L boots slow in AHCI mode

If you're talking about the time spent in the 'discovery' phase of the AHCI BIOS itself - there's no cure for it; if it's 'hung off' the ICH, it doesn't respond to keystrokes, and if it's on the GSATA (jMicron), hitting enter once it shows the select menu speeds it up, but you can't disable its 'wait for keystroke' function...
