Hi,

Basically i'm updating my System, buying new CPU, CPU-Cooler and RAM. I would like to Overclock the E8500 till ~ 3,8ghz so i rly need a good CPU-Cooler. I made few topics and got some suggestions: Scythe Mugen 2, EKL Alpenföhn Brocken and so on. But i'm still not sure which 1 to take, i would even spend few euros more for it, just to get the better 1.

Thanks.

Here is a link to a very good web site with useful information about cpu heatsinks that will help you make an informed decision:

http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

You can use the Google embedded search feature at the web site to find more information about heatsinks for specific cpu sockets.

Currently the best value for the money is the Coolermaster Hyper 212+. It can usually be found on sale in the USA for $29.99.

I remember looking at European technical reviews of the Alpenfohn Brocken. It is supposed to be a very good cpu heatsink.
