Fast return to search results

Is there a quick return to your search results after surfing a site ?
I find I have to click back through a load of pages to get back.

What browser?

In IE/FF, you click the 3rd button with a down arrow from the left in toolbar to jump to a specific page. However, most search sites won't allow caching of the pages. That means if you jump from current to page previous 5 which is a search page, it will still load from the Web.

In FF, there's a history sidebar where you can sort them and click any of them.
