Hi guys i have a questions regarding pci x 2.0

hi well im looking to build a new system and well the hardest part for me is selecting a good video car anyways

my motherboard is the ECS G33T-M2

and well im thinking of getting the 9600gt FROM palit

but now i dont know if my motherboard will support the card since i know the board supports pci-x 16x

but i dont know whether it supports the version 2.0 of pci -x

Can someone Please Help me

O my processor is the Q6600 2.4GHz

and 450Watt Power Supply

PCI-e 1.0 and 2.0 are totally compatible, don't worry about it. And it's PCI-e, not PCI-x. I think PCI-x is a totally different thing.

PCI-X is an extended version of the original PCi bus...

pci express (commonly abbreviated to pci e) is completely different.

even though that board is pci e 1.1, it will not bottleneck a 9600GT. sure, it would probably bottleneck a 4870X2, but something as low end as a 9600GT will not be bottlenecked at all. only thing is it will get half the power from the slot. but as long as your psu has a 6 pin plug it should be alright.

O thanks guys i bought a Palit Geforce 9800GT 1GB DDR3 for my board i mentioned above also it came with the 6pin adapter for supplementary power thanks guys will post back once i finsh building the system
