Far cry is crashing in directx 10 after a few minutes

hi,
i have a new system.
4 gb memory
280 gtx
crosair 750w
vista home premuim 64 bit.

after a few minutes playing with directx 10 all ultra the game will crash and say, nvlddmkm something, drivers stoped responding and recovered.

i know alot of people get this in verious games and in this game, has anyone resolved it? anyone have a good idea what it means and why it is happening? i also get a bit of artifacts. a flash here and there, very very rare.
