My new computer won't work... Plz help :(

I baught a bunch of new components today, and built a new computer. But it won't work.

Here are the specs:

Core 2 Duo E8400
Asrock 4Core1600Twins-P35
4GB (4x1GB) Corsair 667MHZ DDR2
seagate 200gb sata 2
dvd-rw sata2
8400GS

When I start up the computer it freezes after it has shown the amount of memory in the computer. Sometimes it just reboots by itself. And half the times when it starts up and freezes, there are a bunch of colored dots on the screen. I can't even get in to the BIOS.

I have tried different memory, and just one memory stick as well, no difference.

What can I do? I just want it to work

Try one gig and reset the cmos with the powers supply switched off.

Are you using the stock cooler? Did you plug in the fan on the cooler, and is it spinning at start up?

Did you plug in the 4-pin CPU power connector?

What PSU?

Are the motherboard standoffs correct, with only those standoffs installed that correctly align with the motherboard screw holes?
