Hi,

It started to work then said bad block 2% flash failed
I pressed exit and it went to windows, so i thought Ok
It then proceeded to update chipset drivers and rebooted
Then 1 LONG BEEP and 2 short beeps then constant beep beep beep
no just get constant long beeps.
Have changed the RAM and stripped it down but no joy.....PLEASE HELP...!!!
It says you can Bios recovery via floppy, but i cannot find the Bios version 3.2 that I had ect

Other numbers are N1996MS VER 2.0
It is a Micro ATX, Intel P4 Socket 775 based Mobo, With a VIA Chipset

Please Can Someone get me the Award Flash utility and bios, and explain what i have to do, I am at my wits end, going round round round and round again in circles.

MSI forum seems to indicate it should boot from the floppy even in its current state of beepin....

The files 1234 gave you should work.... you need a BOOTABLE floppy and put those files on it.

Ok,

so here it is, I did the same as described above. I bought a MB from someone else, installed it, and after the win xp installation, I did a driver update through the website of MSI.

As well it did automatically tried to update the bios...

It failed, though windows live update told me everything was alright...

when I rebooted the machine, it went dead on me with the ongoing beeps...

Im trying to get live into the bios again, and I know it should work, though with all the broken links and half explanations of MSI, im kinda lost what to do. Can someone guide me through this process ?

I have downloaded the neccasery files :

AWDFLH.EXE
W7222VMS.330

They say, thet want me to create a bootable 3,5.

On this disk are now the files :
Command.com
IO.sys
MSdos.sys

They want me to create a file called : autoexec.bat with certain lines in it,
(http://www.msicomputer.com/support/BIOS_Award_Recovery.asp)

can someone help me what I have to type into these files ?
"AWDFLH W7222VMS.330"

is that all I need to write in it ?
