looking for advice on UPS ... i read the FAQ and seems like these 2 options would be best for my system.
specs : q6600, radeon 4870 1gb, 1 sata drive, 1 dvdrw, asus p5q board.. no OC all stock speeds. 22 inch samsun LCD monitor, Antec Sonata III 500W PSU.
Power Supplies/Management > Battery Backup/UPS
APC (BE750G) Back-UPS ES 750 - UPS ( external ) - AC 120 V - 450 Watt - 750 VA - USB - 10 output connector
Surge Energy Rating 355 Joules
$110 CDN
OR
Belkin (F6C900-UNV) Enterprise Series 900VA UPS - UPS ( external ) - 900 VA - 6 output connector(s)
Energy Rating 1080 Joules
$99 CDN
now between the 2 APC is 450W max load, and Belkin 540W. and the surge rating seems to be a big difference.. wouldnt the Belkin be a lot better? but I know APC seems to be the standard. will the APC be sufficient and software (to auto shutdown PC)? or go with the cheaper Belkin which seems to have better specs.
