i have a vista laptop and a xp pc both connected via NETGEAR. i have a raliance datacard that is being used in my pc(xp) now i want to connect to the internet via my pc. my pc has the internet via a USB.

In your case, your pc is the router and laptop is the client and both connected through a network cable (CAT5):

[isp]-[modem(usb)]--[pc]--[laptop]
