Hi.

I'm currently using a K9N SLI Platinum motherboard (NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI Chipset) with my current setup:

http://www.msicomputer.com/product [...] m&class=mb

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
Two 1gig sticks of ddr2 ram (either 667,800, or 1066(not sure))
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3
250gb hdd
750gb hdd

And I'm planning to upgrade to this

http://ncix.com/products/index.php [...] cture=ASUS

So first off, I believe everything is compatible. Am I right?

And also, switching motherboards. I've never done it before. I've tried reading up on doing it with sysprep and stuff, and I'm very confused by it.

Can someone let me know how to switch out motherboards without losing all my stuff?\

Thanks.

Yes it will work just fine, but I wood go with MSI DKA790GX - Platinum motherboard, because lot of MSI progrom will tranfor over to the new system.

good choice, but dis regard what jawallace said as you would have to upgrade your drivers/new set for chipset anyway

You can use sysprep or do a repair install or uninstall drivers before swapping mobos.

It all should work well together... but get a Phenom quad core processor.
