Hi. I have an old Velocity Micro with an Asus A8N-SLI motherboard. Currently it's running in SLI mode with 2 old GeForce 6600 GT. After several years of good usage, I'd like to upgrade to faster video cards. What brand cards will work with this motherboard? Thanks!

I don't know which video card will work with this mobo. I have the same mobo and upgraded my GPU to a single Sapphire Toxic radeon hd 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 and it didn't work. I can't get my system to boot up now, it blue screens. I'm actually about to buy another Mobo & CPU...
Good Luck!

I have A8N-SLI and A8N32-SLI currently running. Your board has two PCIE 1.0 16x slots and will run any two matching SLI capable Nvidia cards including the 200 series, but at 8 x 8. The A8N32-SLI Deluxeprovdes 2 x 16 1.0 PCIE lanes at 16 x 16. I currently have two 8600GT's in the A8N32-SLI and until recently had 2 x 7800GT's in the A8n-SLI. With Windows XP DX10 capable cards are not necessary. An upgrade from the Nvidia 6 series to the 8 or 9 series would be a nice jump in peformance.

My computer is finally working....I didn't end up buying a new mobo & cpu. Everything is working well with Windows XP. I love my GPU!!! I'm finally catching up on some gaming. Now I want to get a new keyboard & mouse...I hope all is working out for you!
